THE SPARK
I had an idea, a vision. What if there was a facility where kids could choose to participate in a vast variety of extracurricular activities and classes? What would it look like to have a large number of kids, each participating in activities and learning about topics that light them up inside? Imagine the impact of also having access to academic help & support. Adding one more avenue, the option to attend fun, age appropriate social events on the weekends? The more I began to dream about this vision, the more awesome it sounded.
As this dream kept growing, I thought there was surely something like this, somewhere. After zero luck in my search, I began to draft a description to get this vision out of my head. As I was writing, it clicked. The best way I could possibly describe this idea is “a college for kids”. Classes are offered in 8 week terms (semesters). Each semester, students sign up for the number of classes included in their chosen membership level. As we switch semesters, students can continue to stay on the same class paths, switch them up entirely, or a mix of both. With that revelation the vision came to have a name; BLOOM.

- Specializing in extracurricular activities and classes for school aged children, BLOOM is an enrichment program sure to ignite your child’s love of learning. With a variety of membership tiers, each student can enroll in the option that best fits their needs, learning in a safe space that encourages individual growth and empowerment. Imagine a course catalog full of activities and classes that combine creativity, education and inspiration. With each 8-week long semester comes a new course catalog. Our course catalogs will be created in response to the needs and desires of our members.
WHERE IS BLOOM LOCATED?
BLOOM is a 5000sqft space located at 800 Valley Plaza, Suite #1, in Johnson City. Our space was the former location of Unicorn Electronics, and same plaza as The Chalk Market and Wild Birds Unlimited. Our facility has been gutted and completely renovated to acommodate our needs. We cannot wait to celebrate and reveal the final product!
